Description
This book is directed at all forms of accompaniment in which the guitar is the key harmonic element but principally when supporting the human voice. The guitar is most often heard accompanying song from the earliest recorded melodies to the present day. The book begins with the simplest forms of playing an harmonic accompaniment (chords) and evolves to cover the more complex styles to the point where the guitarists can make their own decisions and arrangements. As such it can be used as a guitar tutor and I have taught many pupils using the system outlined herein including complete beginners but not excluding more experienced players who may wish to develop this skill.
