The Art Of Accompaniment On The Guitar Volume 3

$15.00

Volume 3 is about how to read music on the guitar, where to find the right notes and on which string and then combine them to get the right sound. There are many variables, you need the right approach for each piece and this will tell you how to get there. Rhythm in music usually consists of a small unit (a bar) looped over and over again. Within each unit there must be a strong beat linked to a series of weak beats. A standard unit is a bar of 4/4, the very first pattern you ever learnt in Volume 1 was exactly that. The thumb is your strong beat, your accent, and the fingers fill out the remaining beats. Here you will be using whichever right hand technique for single notes you chose in Volume 2.

Description

Volume 3 is about how to read music on the guitar and understand the different marks for strings and position. There is a problem that only really exists on the guitar, almost every note can be played in at least two places and many in up to four, you have to know how to find the right one and we have a good system for doing this, outlined in this book. We also need to be absolutely clear about rhythm and how it is written out in music. Music without rhythm is meaningless so unless you already know the song or piece well you’re going to need some help. Rhythm in music usually consists of a small unit (a bar) looped over and over again. Within each unit there must be a strong beat linked to a series of weak beats or if you prefer accents. This book is about how to approach reading a guitar score and where to find the notes you will need to make it all work.
