Description
Volume 1 of The Art Of Accompaniment On The Guitar was based on four popular songs – Mull Of Kintyre, Hey Jude, Everybody Hurts and Eternal Flame – in order of difficulty. Each song introduced a simple set of chords and the next song expanded upon them. All four songs had a simple accompaniment, a basic strum, a finger pick and a more complex version of each with Eternal Flame having the most chords and a developed finger pick. They are all singable with any kind of a voice (however bad you think you are!) and anyone could have a reasonable stab at a performance. I used them with my pupils for years and always with good results in that term’s school concerts. In the original printed version of the book (available from Amazon) I was not allowed to print full versions of the songs because of copyright restrictions so here they all are now with all the musical details and the blessings of Hal Leonard, the publishers.
